The Treatment

The Softap™ hand tool method is unique. Shaped needles are used to implant pigment under the skin as with a tattoo only less discomfort, less trauma and faster healing.  The benefits are immediate and natural looking.

Is the treatment painful?

Topical anaesthetics are applied to numb the skin.  Some people experience more discomfort than others.  Generally any discomfort is tolerable.

Do I have a choice of colour and shape?

During the consultation Emma will discuss the colours which will work well with your skin tones and can try the colours on your skin.  There are 44 to choose from!  The pigments used are thick and creamy, hypoallergenic and contain no artificial dyes.
Emma is experienced with eyebrow shapes, you may have them just as you always draw them or Emma can help drawing a shape, which is natural and flattering.
Once the colour and shape are agreed, photos are taken as a reference.  The shape drawn with a special pen is used as a template.

How will I look immediately after treatment?

Initially the pigment will look darker, but settles down within a few days.  There will be some swelling and redness initially and the area may feel sore for one or two days.  Vaseline must be applied to keep the area moist and protected.

What are the risks?

Provided you follow the after care instructions you should not experience any problems.  As with any tattoo there is a risk of allergic reaction, infection, scarring and in rare cases the pigment may fail to take.
If you suffer from cold sores it may not be possible to treat you.

How long will it last?

The results are not permanent, but should last between one and five years, fading gradually.  You may have top up treatments as you require.
