Emma Davies RGN; NIP (nurse independent prescriber)

A Registered General Nurse with over 20 years nursing experience.  Emma has specialised in Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Medicine since 1998 and is qualified and registered to prescribe prescription only medicines, such as Botox. Emma works full time as a Cosmetic Nurse Specialist.  She is recognised and highly regarded in the field.

Winner of Cosmetic News Awards, ‘Service to Industry’ and ‘ Aesthetic Nurse  of  The Year 2012.  Emma is experienced in a wide range of treatments and updates regularly, attending workshops, master classes and conferences to keep abreast of this rapidly changing field and ensure the treatments being offered are the best available.

Charter_Mark2015In addition to her clinical work Emma is founder member of The British Association of Cosmetic Nurses and held the position of Chair 2010-2014. She was awarded Honorary lifetime membership in 2014 in recognition for her dedication and commitment to the work of the Association. The BACN was awarded ‘Best Association’ by Cosmetic News Magazine in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 .

Her other achievements and work in the field of aesthetics include;

Save-Face-Certification-LogoClinical Director of SaveFace.  In the absence of regulation in aesthetic practice, Save Face have established a voluntary register of qualified practitioners and clinics who have been independently verified and inspected against a set of published standards.

Founder and board member of The Aesthetic Complications Expert Group (ACE).  This group has worked to develop evidenced based consensus standards on the management of complications in cosmetic medical practice.  The standards and guidelines are widely available to medical practitioners.

BAS logoFounder member and Secretary of The British Association of Sclerotherapists 2003-2010, The association was established to provide public and practitioner education, resources and support.  Members have evidenced training and insurance and through their membership access opportunities to update their knowledge and skills.

Past Roles and Positions Held

Elected committee member of The Royal College of Nursing Aesthetic Nurses Forum 2003-2010.

Member of The Curriculum Development Committee for Greenwich University Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine 2004-2009.

Consulting editor of Aesthetic Medicine Magazine 2004-2007.

A regular contributor to magazines and journals in the trade press, and an invited speaker at conferences and events in the cosmetic industry.
